Another Special Order Mini is Done!

I mailed out another special order mini that was for a flower/garden type book.  The same lady who ordered the Anniversary Beach album ordered this one as well.  This is for her niece who loves to garden. I hope you enjoy it.

Success at Two Craft Fairs

I did two craft fairs this month and made some money, actually more than I originally anticipated.   The first one was at Absolutely Everything in Topsfiled, Mass. and the most recent was last weekend (19th and 20th) at the Alfred Elementary School.  Lots of people stopped by and oohed and aahhed over my ornies.  That made me feel good.  I only sold a couple though, but that's alright.  I sold LOTS of mini notebooks, notepads and journals for the pre-teen and teen set.  I found that when money is tight, it's the little things that sell best.  People are hanging on to their money and want to only spend it if it's something they really, really love or really need.   The best part though was that I was in the gym--Yay!   You see, there are so many vendors, that some are in the classrooms and although not a bad thing, sometimes you don't make the money because by the time customers have gone through the gym and spent some money, they often don't have enough to spend when they finally get down to the classrooms.   Last year I was in a classroom and didn't do very well, plus it was sooooo quiet.   I hoped that I would get into the gym this year and I did!    Next year, I'll definitely be in the gym.

Here are some photos of what I was selling:
Birdhouse Ornaments, courtesy of Marion Smith of 'A Piece of Craft Dot Com".

These birdhouses were selling for $8.00.  Not sure if that was too high considering I only sold one.   I think I'll sell them for $5.00.  If you're interested, let me know.

And here are the Pinecone Ornaments that I was selling:  They go for $12.00.

Pinecone Ornaments can be made in any color combo of your choice.

Below are photos of the notepads I was selling.  These were a hit among young girls.

These notepad are created with quality chipboard covers using an assortment of designer paper.  I also spelled out the word "Notes" with chipboard letters and embellished with an assortment of flowers.  The inside pages of some are index cards--lined and plain (your choice).  The notepad holders (with pens) hold 3x5 lined notepads.   Notepad Holders are $5 each and the notepads are $3.00.

These are just an assortment of what I create and sell.  My biggest love is mini albums.  Once I'm settled in my new home, I'll post more.   Thank you for your patience and I hope you'll come back and visit soon.

Sorry, I haven't posted....

but I've been so busy getting ready to move into our house and also getting ready for a couple of craft fairs.   As a matter of fact, I was a vendor at "The Holiday Market" craft fair at Absolutely Everything in Topsfield, Mass.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE that store!  And, trust me, the store lives up to its name.  Kate makes sure that she carries everything.   If you're in the area, do stop by.   Anyway......

I didn't do too bad at the fair.  I made almost $100 and I'm happy considering I made that in the first hour and a half.  I sold alot of notepad holders, some of my pinecone ornies and a couple of file folder Xmas planners.   My next fair is the 19th so I have to get going with replenishing what I sold yesterday.

I also want to let my readers know that I will do special orders for any of these items.  Please be aware though that due to other orders I'm in the process of completing that your order may not be available for 4 to 6 weeks.  Please take this into consideration when ordering.

I plan on creating a PayPal button here as soon as I figure it out--LOL!   If you have any questions, please email me.

This picture was taken after I sold several items.  I kind of blend into the red wall behind me.

Some Special-Order Minis to share with you

Hello friends,
Thought I'd share some minis that I've been working on.  These items were for a baby shower.  The mom-to-be is decorating the nursery as a jungle theme, primarily with monkies.  The mother-in-law wanted a mini that would flip out to show both parents at 3 months, 6 months, etc with a picture of their baby in the center.  She also wanted it to be a diaper bag design.  So this is what I came up with:

This diaper bag was made from a priority mail box and covered with fabric from Joanne's.  The sides and handles were made from grungeboard:

And here is the mini sitting inside the diaper bag.  It's quite thick.  The spine is also made from grungeboard and covered in the same fabric as the outside of the bag.   The inside was difficult--it's covered in coordinating fabric with the raw edges covered with brown ribbon.
And here is the front of the mini.  I used the DCWV  paperline.
This is the first flap that opens to the left showing Dad as a newborn.  On the flap that opens to the right, I added a poem--then it flips open to show..........
Mom as a newborn.  The middle section is left blank so they can add a picture of Colin when he's born (sometime in November).  I did minimal embellishing because I needed the mini to close flat or it wouldn't be able to fit in the diaper bag.
Throughout the mini, there are double pages that open in which I added photo mats and poems.  This shows the invitation.

I continued to do this throughout the mini.  If you want to see the rest of it, please watch the video below:

Thanks for looking!  If you're interested in a Diaper Bag Mini, please email me for specifics.  Currently, this diaper bag with mini is going for $75.00 plus shipping.

Working on More Projects

Hi bloggers,
I'm now working on a special order for a baby shower which will be complete by the end of this month.  I also received several more orders from a previous customer as well.  I'm slow moving these days as I broke my right foot 3 weeks ago and will have a 'boot' (immobilizer) for 3 more weeks.  I just wanted to stop by and let my bloggers know what I've been up to.

I Recieved an Order for an Anniversary Mini

I'm thrilled that I received an order for a 50th wedding anniversary mini --the result of the craft fair last weekend.  Along with this order, I'm making some notepads and two small purses (great for gift cards and photos).   I'm so excited.  I plan on uploading my creations here in hopes that others will soon order my items.  I also need to make a YT announcement as well.

Please stop by often and check out my designs.

Wishing you a great day!

Great Time at the Craft Fair!

Hello again,
I had a wonderful time at the "Spring Market" craft fair held yesterday at Absolutely Everything in Topsfield, MA.  There was one point where I had about 10 ladies at my booth at one time.  I was so excited!!  I made more than expected and am psyched for the next one.  I came home with some items, and got lots of ideas for more things to sell in November.  My goal now is to upload items here for purchase.

If you came to my booth yesterday and took one of my brochures, I really appreciate it.  Today and tomorrow I'll be updating this blog and  uploading photos of items I'm selling along with sneak peeks of items to come.  I hope you'll stop by soon.  Please leave a comment as well.  If you're interested in special-ordering any of these items, please email me with what you would like such as colors, style, etc.  I'll do my best to create something for you.

Thanks for stopping by!
